Meditate to Create
In this workshop, Dr. Cliona Cosgrove introduced the physiological and psychological benefits of incorporating mindfulness practices into your day. Together with Lucy from Giulo Arts, Cliona gave practical guidance on the how-to of meditation through crafting, art and journaling exercises.
One very powerful technique was the shared art pieces that were created, where each attendee would begin creating a piece for a set time. T
hen Cliona would ask them to pass on their piece to the person to their right. This practice was intended to encourage us not to have the attachment to what we created and to let it go and have someone to add to it. Therefore it was a joint creative expression.
